Privacy policy
Effective September 22, 2026. FoldLab does not collect or transmit your measurements, reference photos, or usage activity to the developer. There are no accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, or developer-operated servers in the app.
Measurements and local storage
Angle readings, saved measurements and traces, before/after records, reference photos, presets, calibration, settings, and observed foreground opening counts are processed on your device. Live and demo records are stored separately. Each input library keeps up to 50 measurements and 20 presets; older measurements and their saved reference photos are removed when the measurement limit is reached.
Camera, photos, and motion
Camera access is optional and used only when you choose to take a reference photo. The system photo picker shares only the photo you select; FoldLab does not request access to your entire photo library. A resized copy is saved with the measurement. Device motion supports level, slope, pitch, and elevation tools. Hinge readings support angle measurement. Camera permission can be changed in iOS Settings. Declining camera access does not prevent basic angle measurement or use of the photo picker.
Purchases and external links
Apple handles payment and purchase records. FoldLab uses StoreKit on your device to verify whether you own the lifetime Pro upgrade; the developer does not receive your payment details through the app. Opening a support, privacy, or terms link uses your browser and the destination website's privacy practices.
Retention, deletion, and backups
Delete individual measurements and their reference photos in Library. Settings → Delete all saved measurements removes both live and demo measurements, photo copies, presets, calibration, and opening counts, even without Pro. Original images in Photos and your App Store purchase are unaffected. Deleting the app removes its local data; offloading it can retain data. iOS device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings. FoldLab does not operate a separate cloud backup or synchronization service.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated if the app's data practices change. Use the support link on FoldLab's App Store page for privacy questions or help. The same policy is available in Settings without an internet connection.
